| Congratulations 2009 NBHA Open 2D World Champion PERKY PACIFIC and Donald (Ducky) Keller |
| Pacific Bailey is still showing his importance in the arena as the maternal grandsire of Perky Pacific ("Missy"),a 5-year-old mare out of Pacs Lois Magnolia who was by Pacific Bailey. "Missy" is by Perkin Chief, who is a grandson of Dash For Cash and out of a TB mare. Take a look at My Designated Driver's pedigree. Hum ... study your lesson! "Missy has a big heart and never quits trying," Keller said. "That's how we were able to turn a wreck into a check at the (NBHA) World show. Missy didn't have her best run, especially on the third barrel when she pulled out. But fortunately, she was flying and our time was perfect for the 2D." |

| My Designated Driver KQHRA Stallion of 2009 |
Auction on January 10. Despite the bitter cold and uncertainty of Kansas racing, a good attendance was treated to a nostalgic look at Eureka Downs of yester-year. KQHRA does plan to hold some type of racing at Eureka Downs for 2010, possibly unofficial racing to accommodate for the lack of QH opportunities this spring. Legislation is being prepared that will amend the current gaming law that should allow the tracks to install slot machines, creating a revitalization of our industry in Kansas. We feel confident we can get it done. |
